Charlie’s MNDA 101 Mile Cycling Challenge

Charlie McGee (Peter Marr’s Grandson) is doing a 101 mile bike ride to raise funds in support of MNDA. Here’s what Charlie has to say.

“I got into cycling at the end of October last year for fitness, but have ended up falling in love with the sport. So much so that I am currently training to enter some races and hopefully end up on a professional team!

To give myself something to work towards, I have planned out a 101 mile route on strava with 8,138ft total elevation gain… an absolute killer of a ride.

I have given myself 12 weeks to train before the challenge, and I have decided that it is a fantastic opportunity to support a charity that myself and my family are very passionate about. A great ride to boost my fitness and support a great cause at the same time! I have also decided that anyone is willing to join me on the ride at their own pace and risk, but, I will be trying to complete the ride in under 7 hours and I plan to have a support car following me for nutrition and mechanical help. If you plan to do this ride with me then be sure to share this with your family and friends so we can raise as much money as we can!”
